      November 2, 1949

      Mrs. Josephine Munier [sic] LaChance, 88, widow of Noe Lachance, of 83 Northumberland Road, died late last night at St. Luke's, whewre she had been a patient for about two weeks. She had been ill with a heart condition for about a month.

      Mrs. LaChance, who lived with her daughter, Mres. John F. Magner, was born in Gardner April 22, 1861. She lived here for apporximately 40 years and attended Notre Dame Church.

      She is survived by Mrs. Magner, a son, Noe L. LaChance of Dalton, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfred, of Granby, Canada; a sister, Mrs. Delia Saurette of Rougemont, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.
