Annette Soares Annette (Gagnon) Soares, 86, of New Bedford, died Friday at her daughter’s residence in Wareham after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph O. Soares. Born in Fort Kent, Maine, daughter of the late Solomon and the late Marie (Lachance) Gagnon, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish, New Bedford. She leaves three sons, Mark Soares of Freetown, Richard Soares of Fall River and David Soares of Plastow, N.H.; three daughters, Cecilia Bernier of Elizabeth, Colo., Marie Auld of Wareham and Diane O’Lear of Tiverton; a brother, George Gagnon of Florida; 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by the Chausse-Dumont Funeral Home, 1325 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford.
